Jasmy Chain Testnet Launches With Arb Orbit and JASMY Gas Token

  • Jasmy Chain testnet integrates Arb Orbit, offering scalability and EVM compatibility.
  • JASMY token now serves as the gas token in the new Jasmy Chain testnet.
  • Developers benefit from low migration costs and Ethereum compatibility with Jasmy Chain.

Jasmy Lab has officially launched the testnet for Jasmy Chain, its new Layer2 blockchain. The launch marks the transition from its earlier JANCTION Layer2 project to a more scalable solution. The testnet incorporates Arb Orbit, which is based on Arbitrum Nitro, offering developers more flexibility and better scalability.

The key feature of this release is the use of JASMY as the native gas token, replacing ETH for transaction fees. This makes Jasmy Chain a more self-sustaining network, directly linking its token to the platform’s functionality. Developers now have access to a high-performance blockchain compatible with Ethereum tools and frameworks, making the platform developer-friendly.

Arb Orbit Enhances Flexibility and Scalability

Arb Orbit, developed within the Arbitrum ecosystem, offers a range of benefits for developers. With options for Rollup or AnyTrust mode, developers can choose between higher security or lower costs based on their application needs. Additionally, the ability to design custom governance structures while maintaining interoperability within the broader Arbitrum network is a key advantage.

The integration of Arb Orbit provides greater control for developers, enabling them to design and deploy more efficient and scalable applications. Jasmy Chain’s full EVM compatibility ensures that developers can easily port over their existing dApps built on Ethereum with minimal changes, allowing for faster adoption and reduced migration costs.

JASMY Gas Token and Developer-Friendly Features

One of the most notable updates in this testnet release is the adoption of the JASMY token as the gas token. With Arb Orbit supporting ERC-20 tokens as gas, users will no longer need ETH to pay for gas fees. This not only simplifies the fee model but also directly ties the use of the JASMY token to the network’s operations.

In addition, the testnet offers a variety of developer tools, including support for account abstraction, which allows for predictable fees and sponsorship mechanisms. These tools help make the transition from Ethereum or other Layer 2 solutions seamless and cost-effective.

Jasmy Lab is also preparing integrations with decentralized exchanges (DEXs) and other dApp platforms to ensure that developers can take full advantage of the testnet’s features.

With the launch of the testnet, Jasmy Chain is positioning itself as a more flexible and scalable solution for developers looking to build decentralized applications in sectors such as DeFi, NFTs, and AI.
