$10B Bitcoin Whale Moves $360M BTC To Hyperunit—Is ETH Next?

  • A $10B Bitcoin whale moves $363M in BTC to Hyperunit, raising ETH buying questions.
  • This whale previously bought $5B worth of ETH, and now, more BTC is moved.
  • A $10B Bitcoin whale is shifting assets again, and ETH may be the next target.

A Bitcoin whale with over $10 billion in BTC has just moved $363.9 million to Hyperunit. This is the second time in two months that the whale has made a large transfer to the platform, following a move of over $1 billion in August. Many are speculating the whale is getting ready to buy more Ethereum (ETH) just like it did when it spent $5 billion on ETH.

Arkham data shows the latest transfer has sparked the crypto community’s attention again, as it follows the same pattern as the whale’s purchase of ETH earlier this year. The big question now is whether this marks the start of another ETH buying spree or if the whale is simply repositioning its holdings for another reason.

What’s Behind the Whale’s Moves?

The whale’s repeated use of Hyperunit to move large sums of Bitcoin points to a possible long-term strategy. In August, the whale moved $1.1 billion worth of Bitcoin to Hyperunit, fueling rumors that more Ethereum was on the way. Now, with $360 million moved again, many in the industry are asking whether Ethereum will be the next asset added to the whale’s portfolio.

The whale may be preparing for another round of Ethereum purchases, given the previous trend. However, no direct confirmation has been given, so the market remains uncertain. The whale’s actions could be signaling something bigger, but it’s too early to say for sure if ETH will be the next target.

A Pattern of Strategic Shifts

This isn’t the first time this whale has moved big amounts of Bitcoin in and out of Hyperunit. In fact they did the same thing earlier this year when they moved over $1 billion in BTC to the platform. These repeated movements suggest they are following a plan with their crypto holdings and Hyperunit is part of that plan.

The crypto community watches big investors like this one because their actions can move the market. With this whale buying Ethereum after moving big amounts of Bitcoin it’s no wonder the community is buzzing about more ETH purchases.
