- XRP price needs a daily close above $1.55 to confirm reversal.
- Strong ETF inflows support demand while Binance whale deposits add risk.
- Futures volume exceeds spot activity, increasing leverage-driven volatility around key levels.
XRP price rose 6.8% to $1.42, recovering from a low near $1.32. The rebound brought XRP close to confirming an inverse head-and-shoulders reversal. Analysts identify $1.55 as the decisive neckline, while $1.32 to $1.39 remains the support region. Higher spot activity and forced short covering helped drive the advance.
XRP Price Needs a Daily Close Above the $1.55 Neckline
Ali Martinez maps the left shoulder to June and the head near August’s $1.00 low. The right shoulder developed around $1.32–$1.36. A daily close above $1.55 would complete the structure. Its measured move points 35% higher, placing $2.00 to $2.10 within the target area.
XRP price must hold $1.32–$1.33, then clear tests at $1.45 and $1.50. CW identified a buy wall near $1.39 and two sell walls. Those levels could decide whether spot demand supports the larger setup.
The 50-day EMA sits within 2% of the 200-day EMA. A crossover would form a golden cross, but neither signal is confirmed yet.
XRP Price Rally Faces Leverage and Whale Deposit Risks
CoinGlass reported XRP spot volume near $1.36 billion and $8.05 million in short liquidations. Long liquidations totaled about $2.36 million. CoinMarketCap tracked nearly $4.9 billion in turnover, up 90% within one day.
However, futures volume reached about $5.71 billion, more than four times spot activity. XRP price could reverse quickly if leveraged positions unwind near resistance. This imbalance makes confirmation through sustained spot trading especially important.
US spot XRP ETFs have attracted more than $1.7 billion, creating a demand floor. Yet 1.5–1.6 billion XRP reached Binance during 30 days. That marked a six-month high for large-holder inflows.
CryptoQuant said those transfers may support collateral, derivatives, or portfolio reallocation. They do not prove immediate open-market sales. Still, the deposits create an overhang if momentum stalls below the neckline.
The 2023 Torres ruling gives XRP clearer legal footing, although broader US policy remains unsettled. Ripple’s Stripe and Tempo work may expand utility for automated payments. Moscow Exchange plans XRP perpetual futures on September 22, adding leverage.
