Ethereum Whale Accumulation Grows as Arthur Hayes Buys $7.4M ETH

Ethereum whale accumulation is gaining attention after BitMEX founder Arthur Hayes added another 645 ETH worth about $1.2 million. Arkham Intel data shows Hayes has purchased 3,915 ETH valued at $7.47 million since July 15. His average entry price stands near $1,909, leaving the position down around $113,000 at current levels.

Ethereum Whale Accumulation Expands Through Hayes Purchases

The latest Ethereum whale accumulation follows a series of purchases linked to Hayes’ wallet. Onchain Lens reported that Hayes completed a 1,290 ETH purchase worth roughly $2.5 million using funds previously deposited to Cumberland and FalconX.

The wallet had deposited a total of $3.75 million USDC to FalconX over six days before the larger ETH acquisition. These movements highlight continued activity from a major crypto market participant.

Ethereum whale accumulation often attracts attention because large wallet movements can reflect changing market expectations. However, purchases from individual investors do not guarantee future price direction.

Ethereum traded near $1,878 after gaining about 1.4% over 24 hours. The asset remains in a consolidation phase as traders watch whether buyers can build stronger momentum.

Institutional Buying Adds Support to ETH Market Outlook

Beyond Ethereum whale accumulation, institutional demand has also increased through spot Ethereum ETFs. Lucky said on an X post that recent data showed ETF products recorded $144 million in net inflows over 48 hours, reflecting continued interest from traditional investors.

Ethereum’s upcoming network developments have also supported market discussions. Developers are preparing future upgrades focused on wallet improvements, efficiency and broader usability.

On-chain data indicates wallets holding between 10,000 and 100,000 ETH increased their combined holdings by 1.8% this month. The trend suggests some large holders are positioning for potential long-term growth.
