- Trump Media and Crypto.com end proposed CRO treasury venture.
- CRO falls after partnership termination announcement affects sentiment.
- ETF plans under Truth.Fi brand will no longer continue.
Trump Media Crypto.com partnership plans have ended after both companies agreed to terminate their proposed CRO treasury venture. The companies cited changing market conditions and updated stakeholder priorities behind the decision. The move affects plans to create Trump Media Group CRO Strategy and several ETF initiatives connected to the Truth.Fi brand. CRO prices reacted negatively after the announcement, falling around 4% during trading.
Trump Media Crypto.com Deal Ends Digital Asset Venture
The Trump Media Crypto.com partnership was designed to create a publicly traded digital asset treasury company focused on accumulating Crypto.com’s CRO token. Trump Media, Crypto.com, and Yorkville Acquisition announced the structure in August 2025.
However, the companies decided not to proceed with the planned business combination. Crypto.com said the decision followed a review of current market conditions and business priorities.
Crypto.com CEO Kris Marszalek said the proposed digital asset treasury and ETF plans no longer made sense under current conditions. He added that the company will continue exploring other opportunities involving CRO and digital asset products.
Trump Media Crypto.com Plans Shift Toward New Strategies
Meanwhile, the companies also ended plans for Crypto.com to support Yorkville’s planned Truth.Fi ETF offerings. The decision does not change Yorkville America’s existing ETF strategy, according to the announcement.
The Trump Media Crypto.com partnership changes come as Trump Media continues building its digital asset exposure. Blockchain data recently showed wallets linked to Trump Media transferred 2,628 bitcoin to Crypto.com, although the company said the BTC was not sold.
Despite ending the partnership, Trump Media remains among the largest public Bitcoin holders. The company holds more than $600 million worth of BTC, ranking as the 14th-largest public Bitcoin treasury. Crypto.com will now seek alternative ways to deploy CRO previously allocated for the proposed treasury structure.
