Ripple 100% Completes $1.25B Hidden Road Deal, Unveils Ripple Prime

  • Ripple’s $1.25B acquisition of Hidden Road is now 100% complete, launching Ripple Prime.
  • Ripple Prime integrates XRP and RLUSD to offer global institutional digital asset services.
  • Ripple’s acquisition spree continues, deepening ties with traditional financial sectors.

Ripple has officially completed its $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road, marking a new chapter for the company’s institutional services. The deal, which is now 100% finalized, brings Ripple Prime into the fold as a global multi-asset prime broker that will offer a wide range of services to institutional clients.

These services include clearing, prime brokerage, financing, and access to markets for digital assets, foreign exchange (FX), derivatives, and fixed income.

Ripple’s integration of its digital asset infrastructure, including XRP and RLUSD, into Ripple Prime will significantly enhance its offerings. The RLUSD stablecoin is already being used as collateral for various financial products, such as derivatives, and this usage is expected to continue growing.

Ripple’s move positions it as a prominent player in the digital asset ecosystem, catering to the growing demand from institutional investors.

Ripple Prime: Expanding Institutional Digital Asset Services

With the completion of this acquisition, Ripple Prime is set to transform the way institutions handle digital assets. Ripple Prime will leverage Ripple’s technological foundation, including the XRP Ledger (XRPL), to provide enhanced services for institutional clients.

Ripple’s RLUSD stablecoin, supported by strong regulatory compliance and backed by The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (BNY), will continue to be a key feature within Ripple Prime’s offerings.

Ripple aims to streamline operations for financial institutions by providing a trusted, secure, and compliant platform for managing digital assets. The integration of Ripple’s technology and Hidden Road’s expertise makes Ripple Prime a powerful tool for those looking to adopt digital assets in a regulated, multi-asset environment.

Ripple’s Growing Presence in Traditional Finance

Ripple’s acquisition of Hidden Road is part of the company’s broader strategy to strengthen its presence in the traditional finance sector. Ripple has made a series of strategic acquisitions, including the purchase of GTreasury, a treasury management firm, and the upcoming acquisition of Rail, a stablecoin-powered payments platform.

These acquisitions reflect Ripple’s ongoing effort to integrate digital assets into the traditional financial ecosystem, providing institutions with the necessary tools to manage digital and fiat assets seamlessly.

Ripple’s 100% acquisition of Hidden Road, along with its growing portfolio, underscores the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint in institutional markets while solidifying its role as a leader in the digital asset space.
