Injective (INJ) Eyes $5 as CEO Warns on Decentralization

  • Injective (INJ) remains locked between $4.40 and $5.05 awaiting a breakout.
  • Holding $4.50 support could lead to a retest of $5.05 resistance.
  • Injective CEO says decentralization should not be sacrificed for blockchain scalability.

Injective (INJ) remains trapped between key technical levels as traders watch for its next decisive move. While Injective (INJ) slipped 1.35% over the past 24 hours to trade at $4.74, analysts continue monitoring the $4.40-$5.05 range for a potential breakout. At the same time, Injective CEO Eric Chen has renewed the debate around blockchain scaling by arguing that decentralization should not be sacrificed for higher throughput.

Injective INJ Faces Key Resistance While Holding Support

Injective (INJ) has traded within a relatively tight range between $4.40 and $5.05 despite broader crypto market volatility. Crypto analyst Aarshynov noted that the current market remains highly manipulative, making aggressive trading difficult.

However, he believes Injective (INJ) deserves close attention because a confirmed breakout could trigger stronger upside momentum. The analyst added that he accumulated positions between $2.70 and $3.30 and continues adding through community buybacks.

According to his outlook, holding above the $4.50 support could open the door for another test of $5.01-$5.05. A breakdown below $4.40 could instead invite fresh selling pressure toward lower support levels.

Injective INJ CEO Defends Decentralization Over Speed

Speaking on Cointelegraph’s Chain Reaction podcast, Injective CEO Eric Chen said Layer 1 blockchain networks will increasingly face pressure to prioritize speed over decentralization as adoption accelerates.

Chen argued that centralization may improve efficiency but introduces dangerous single points of failure. Instead, he believes blockchain projects should pursue scaling through dedicated execution zones and Layer-2 infrastructure without weakening network security or decentralization.

His comments revisit the long-standing blockchain trilemma, which balances security, decentralization, and scalability. Chen emphasized that pushing too aggressively toward scalability often forces compromises elsewhere.
