- Eligible EEA customers can trade more than 7,000 U.S. stocks through Kraken.
- Kraken offers traditional shares beside more than 700 tokenized xStocks.
- Payward Europe provides the stock service under its MiFID II authorization.
Kraken has expanded U.S. stock trading across the European Economic Area, giving eligible users access to more than 7,000 shares. Kraken stock trading now sits beside over 600 crypto assets and more than 700 xStocks. The rollout follows a limited launch in Germany, France and the Netherlands. In a blog, Kraken says eligible users can access the service through its mobile and desktop platforms.
Kraken Stock Trading Brings 7000 US Shares to EEA Customers
Eligible customers can buy U.S.-listed shares through Kraken Pro or the Kraken mobile app. The company says it will not charge trading commissions, subject to applicable terms.
Payward Europe Digital Solutions provides the service under its MiFID II authorization in Cyprus. Existing EEA customers must accept additional terms before Kraken stock trading becomes available in their accounts.
The setup also puts traditional shares beside tokenized equities. Kraken says its xStocks lineup includes more than 700 tokenized products backed 1:1 by underlying shares.
That gives customers two ways to access similar market exposure without moving funds between platforms. Traditional stocks follow conventional market structures, while xStocks can support blockchain transfers and onchain applications.
Kraken Stock Trading Puts Shares and xStocks in One Account
Kraken says xStocks have generated more than $38 billion in total transaction volume since launching in June 2025. The company now combines those products with standard U.S. equities across the EEA.
The broader tokenized-equities market has also grown this year. Tokenized stocks now represent about 15% of the real-world asset market, with a market capitalization near $2.8 billion.
Ondo Finance, Binance bStocks and Kraken xStocks account for 77% of that segment. Kraken stock trading therefore expands the platform as demand grows for both conventional and blockchain-based equity access.
The expansion also follows stronger revenue at Kraken parent Payward. Adjusted second-quarter revenue reached $508 million, up 17% from a year earlier. Adjusted EBITDA came in at $23 million.
Total platform transaction volume fell 13% year over year to $310 billion. Payward said activity shifted more toward equities and tokenized equities. Kraken stock trading is expected to reach additional markets in the coming months.
