Solana price trades near $76 after a previously profitable whale returned to the market following more than two years of inactivity. Lookonchain reported that the wallet bought 47,535 SOL worth about $3.6 million. The purchase comes as SOL holds near $75 support, while the daily chart keeps $80 as the first clear recovery level.
Solana Price Holds Near $76 as Smart Whale Returns
The wallet previously bought 291,790 SOL for about $6.82 million during August and October 2023. Its average entry stood at $23.37 before SOL began a sharp advance.
The whale later sold 191,789 SOL for roughly $24.62 million at an average price of $128.36. Lookonchain estimates those sales produced more than $20 million in realized profit.
After more than two years without activity, the address has returned with another large purchase. The $3.6 million buy puts fresh attention on Solana price while the token trades well below the whale’s previous selling level.
Crypto Patel identifies $60 to $40 as a long-term accumulation zone. His chart lists $300, $500 and $1,000 as longer-term targets. He also says SOL could revisit levels below $60 during a deeper correction.
Solana Price Eyes $80 Breakout While $75 Support Holds
SOL trades around $76.04 on the daily chart after retreating from the $100 resistance area. Price still holds above the recent $75.23 low, keeping the market inside a narrow short-term range.

The Relative Strength Index stands at 53.68, while its 14-period average sits at 51.34. Both readings show neutral momentum with a mild bullish tilt. Trading volume also remains low, leaving the current move without strong participation.
For Solana price, $80 marks the first upside level to watch. A daily break above it could open room toward higher resistance. Losing $75 would instead shift attention toward $72.
The current SOL price structure stays trapped between nearby support and resistance. Whale buying adds fresh on-chain activity, but a clear break from the $75 to $80 range has not occurred.
