Hyperliquid crypto perps could soon reach American traders through a proposed partnership involving Kraken parent company Payward. The arrangement would allow selected perpetual futures markets from Hyperliquid’s platform to become available through Bitnomial, a US-regulated digital asset exchange. The proposal still requires regulatory approval from US authorities.
Hyperliquid Crypto Perps Could Use Bitnomial Framework
According to Bloomberg reports, Payward has presented the Commodity Futures Trading Commission with a potential structure for offering Hyperliquid crypto perps in the United States. The plan would connect Hyperliquid’s decentralized trading system with Bitnomial’s regulated exchange and clearing infrastructure.
Hyperliquid has become one of the largest perpetual futures platforms, processing billions of dollars in daily trading volume. However, its decentralized structure has prevented direct access for US users due to regulatory concerns.

Bitnomial could provide the compliance framework needed for American traders. Payward acquired Bitnomial earlier in 2026, gaining access to a regulated derivatives platform.
The move follows wider efforts by US regulators to create clearer rules for digital asset derivatives. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission has already allowed some platforms to explore crypto perpetual contracts.
Hyperliquid Crypto Perps Face Regulatory Review
The potential agreement arrives after discussions about bringing offshore crypto trading activity into regulated US markets. President Donald Trump previously said officials were working toward a compliant pathway for Hyperliquid.
Meanwhile, the SEC and CFTC continue reviewing rules around digital asset derivatives. Industry groups have argued that clearer regulations could encourage more trading activity to move onto domestic platforms.
The Hyperliquid crypto perps expansion could also influence demand for the HYPE token. HYPE recently traded near $84 after reaching an all-time high above $86.
The final structure depends on regulatory approval and discussions between Hyperliquid Labs, Payward, and US authorities. The companies have not disclosed financial terms of the potential agreement.
