Strive expanded its Bitcoin holdings last week after purchasing 1,107 BTC for approximately $94.5 million. The Dallas-based asset manager paid an average of $85,396 per Bitcoin, including fees, according to a Monday SEC filing. Bitcoin traded near $83,409, down about 3% over the past week, as treasury companies continued accumulating the asset.
Strive Bitcoin Holdings Reach 27,462 BTC After Latest Purchase
Strive Bitcoin holdings now stand at 27,462 BTC, valued at roughly $2.3 billion using Bitcoin’s $83,943 closing price on Friday. The latest purchase was smaller than the previous week’s addition of 1,355 BTC.
CEO Matt Cole said warrant exercises generated another $12.4 million during the period. Including those proceeds, 85% of the company’s capital raised came through SATA, its variable-rate perpetual preferred stock.
SATA pays dividends while allowing Strive to raise capital with less dilution for common shareholders. Its share count increased by about one million during the week, reaching 12.2 million shares.
Strive also reported that its cash balance increased by $19.2 million to $248.8 million. The company has increasingly relied on preferred stock financing to support its Bitcoin accumulation strategy.
Strive Bitcoin Strategy Faces a Wider Treasury Market Shift
Strive ranks fifth among public companies holding Bitcoin, according to Bitcoin Treasuries data. Strategy remains the largest holder after purchasing another 1,665 BTC for $142.7 million last week.
Strategy now holds 847,666 BTC following its latest acquisition. Meanwhile, Strive would need about 16,050 additional Bitcoin to match Twenty One Capital’s reported 43,514 BTC holdings.
Strive’s latest filing shows its accumulation continued despite weakness across several Bitcoin treasury stocks. ASST shares have fallen more than 30% over the past year, while Bitcoin recently traded below $84,000.
Cole has said Strive carries no debt, margin requirements, or encumbered Bitcoin. The company’s latest purchase keeps its treasury strategy active while Bitcoin remains below recent highs.
