- Ethereum staking ratio reached a record 33.9% with 40.7 million ETH locked.
- Staking participation increased despite annual rewards falling to approximately 1.74%.
- Liquid staking continues expanding access while reducing Ethereum’s tradable supply.
The Ethereum staking ratio has climbed to a record 33.9%, marking the highest level in the network’s history, according to data shared by Token Terminal. The milestone was also highlighted in a post by BMNRBullz, which noted that more than one-third of all ETH is now locked in staking contracts. The rising Ethereum staking ratio comes as ETH trades between $1,940 and $2,000, reflecting continued confidence in the network despite lower staking yields.
Ethereum Staking Ratio Growth Continues Despite Lower Rewards
The Ethereum staking ratio has increased steadily throughout 2026. It rose from 30% in January to 32.4% in early June before reaching the current 33.9% level in mid-July.

Interestingly, staking participation has expanded even as annualized rewards have fallen to roughly 1.74%. Validator entry queues have periodically lengthened, while exits have remained limited, suggesting continued demand to help secure the Ethereum network.
Liquid staking services have also lowered barriers to entry. Users can stake ETH without operating their own validator or holding the required 32 ETH, making ETH staking accessible to a wider audience.
Ethereum Staking Ratio Highlights Supply and Security Trends
The rising Ethereum staking ratio has reduced the amount of ETH readily available for trading, creating a tighter liquid supply. In a post on X, BMNRBullz said the record staking level points to shrinking liquid supply, stronger network security, and accelerating institutional demand.
Lido remains the largest staking provider, controlling about 19.4% of all staked ETH. Centralized exchanges including Binance and Coinbase, alongside decentralized platforms such as ether.fi and Figment, also account for significant validator shares.
