- Evernorth plans to begin deploying capital from its 473 million XRP holdings in Q4 2026.
- Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo are its first institutional execution partners.
- Direct on-chain strategies depend on validator activation and proven lending infrastructure.
Evernorth Holdings plans to deploy capital from its 473 million XRP treasury through institutional strategies beginning in the fourth quarter of 2026. The Nasdaq-listed company named Ripple, Kraken, Coinbase and BitGo as its initial execution partners on October 14. Its goal is to generate earnings while increasing XRP per share over time, rather than relying solely on token appreciation.
XRP treasury strategy starts with institutional partners
According to Evernorth’s announcement, the first phase will use strategies available through established counterparties. Its investment and risk team will oversee deployment and assess the associated exposures.
The company selected its partners based on institutional infrastructure, licensing, capitalization and experience serving public companies and asset managers. It described those capabilities as supporting the controls and reporting standards required for managing its XRP treasury.
Founder and CEO Asheesh Birla said the approach aims to increase XRP per share while supporting ecosystem growth. Evernorth also intends to continue accumulating tokens alongside the deployment program.
The announcement does not specify allocation sizes, expected returns or detailed responsibilities for each partner. All partnership agreements remain subject to customary closing conditions and required regulatory and corporate approvals.
On-chain lending plans depend on XRP Ledger development
The XRP treasury program could later expand into decentralized finance as the ledger’s financial infrastructure develops. Direct allocations would follow validator activation of native lending and credit capabilities, plus evidence that those systems work in production.
This separates the initial institutional rollout from future on-chain deployment. The announcement does not establish a launch date for that later phase.
Chief Investment Officer Hugo Jeandesboz oversees the XRP treasury deployment program. He joined from Coinbase Asset Management, where he served as co-chief investment officer and led Solutions investment strategies.
Jeandesboz said the same risk discipline would govern both institutional relationships and eventual on-chain activity. His background includes digital assets, fixed income and roles at HSBC and Société Générale.
Evernorth shares began trading under XRPN on October 8 following its combination with Armada Acquisition Corp. II. The company scheduled its Nasdaq closing-bell appearance for October 14.
