- DFDV reports 2,388,923 SOL and equivalents, an increase of 55,491 SOL since August 27.
- The $300 million CHAD program provides funding capacity rather than capital already raised.
- Management intends to issue preferred shares at or above $10, primarily financing additional SOL purchases.
DFDV expanded its treasury to approximately 2,388,923 SOL and SOL equivalents, according to its September 14 announcement via GlobeNewswire. The balance increased by 55,491 SOL since August 27, reflecting purchases and organic growth.
The Nasdaq-listed company also established a $300 million preferred-stock offering program. Management plans to use net proceeds primarily for additional Solana purchases, subject to market conditions and investor demand.
DFDV Opens CHAD Share Program to Finance SOL Purchases
The at-the-market program covers Variable Rate Series C Perpetual Preferred Stock, trading under the CHAD ticker. R.F. Lafferty & Co. will serve as the sole sales agent.
DFDV intends to sell shares at or above their $10 par value. CHAD carries an initial annual dividend rate of 13%, although its variable-rate structure allows that rate to change.
Establishing the program does not mean the company has raised $300 million. It can sell shares over time and has no obligation to use the full capacity.
Management says the funding would support its strategy of acquiring SOL, generating yield and increasing holdings per share. Preferred-stock financing also introduces dividend claims that investors must consider alongside the treasury’s growth.
Treasury Growth Combines Purchases With Staking Income
DFDV described the increase in holdings as approximately 2% since August 27. The announcement does not separate the 55,491 SOL increase into purchased tokens and yield earned.
The company operates validator infrastructure and earns staking rewards from delegated assets. These activities provide another source of treasury growth alongside direct acquisitions.
CEO Joseph Onorati said DFDV delivered twice SOL’s return during the quarter to date. That comparison describes historical performance over the stated period, rather than an expected return from the new offering.
The business also operates an AI-powered subscription platform serving commercial real estate professionals. Last month, it launched a public research platform tracking Solana staking, validators, yields and ecosystem activity.
