- Grayscale’s latest S-3 amendment advances proposed Zcash ETF conversion toward launch.
- DCG affiliate may acquire 200,000 ZEC through a nonbinding contribution arrangement.
- ZEC trades near $555 after gaining almost 10% over twenty-four hours.
Grayscale has moved its proposed Zcash fund another step through the SEC registration process. The Grayscale Zcash ETF filing now includes a fourth S-3/A amendment for converting the existing trust into an exchange-traded product. ZEC has climbed nearly 10% over 24 hours and trades close to $555, adding market attention to the latest filing.
Grayscale Zcash ETF Filing Details ZCSH Listing Structure
The amended registration proposes renaming the Grayscale Zcash Trust and listing shares on NYSE Arca under ZCSH. The listing would proceed once the registration statement becomes effective.
The Grayscale Zcash ETF would primarily use cash orders for share creations and redemptions. In-kind creations remain possible, but the updated language says the trust will not permit in-kind redemptions.
The filing also discloses talks with DCG International Investments, an indirect subsidiary of Digital Currency Group. The company could acquire shares through an authorized participant using about 200,000 ZEC.
At current prices, that amount is worth roughly $110 million. The discussions remain nonbinding, meaning the eventual purchase could increase, decrease, or not occur.
Grayscale also addresses the June Orchard vulnerability and the subsequent Ironwood upgrade. The update retired the affected shielded pool and introduced safeguards designed to prevent counterfeit ZEC.
Grayscale Zcash ETF Update Lands During Strong ZEC Rally
The Grayscale Zcash ETF filing arrives while ZEC trades near $555 after a sharp daily move. Price has also moved above its 50-day simple moving average, keeping that level relevant for short-term support.
Immediate resistance sits near $520, while the stronger technical barrier lies around $550. ZEC is now testing that upper zone after the latest rally.
Derivatives positioning remains mixed. Binance ZEC futures open interest fell 3.9%, showing some profit-taking. Hyperliquid recorded an increase of almost 9%, while OKX gained 3.4% and KuCoin added 2.18%.
The Grayscale Zcash ETF still has no disclosed management fee or fee waiver. The SEC filing also stops short of confirming when ZCSH could begin trading on NYSE Arca.
