- Sol Strategies targets Nasdaq listing as SOL holdings hit $63M and stock jumps 4.2% on SEC filing news.
- Corporate interest in Solana grows as Sol Strategies and others expand SOL treasuries amid ETF speculation.
- With $1B in funding plans and 420,000 SOL in reserve, Sol Strategies pushes for U.S. market exposure.
Sol Strategies, a Canada-based firm managing a growing Solana (SOL) treasury, has submitted a Form 40-F with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), seeking approval to list on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. If approved, the company will trade under the STKE ticker. The move is expected to increase the firm’s exposure to international investors and improve market participation.
The firm’s stock, currently trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the ticker HODL, rose by over 4.2% following the filing announcement, reaching $2.38. Sol Strategies currently has 420,000 SOL tokens, with the token averaging about $63 million at current SOL heights. The Nasdaq app is the continuation of a wider quest to achieve a dominant market position in the Solana ecosystem.
Treasury Growth and Funding Projects
The company, also called Sol Strategies, has been increasing its Solana stockpiles through a set of financing projects. An April raise consisted of $500 million raised through convertible notes that were invested in purchasing a stake in SOL. Lately, on May 27, Sol Strategies filed a prospectus with Canadian regulators on its intention to issue a possible $1 billion of its HOLD stock. The funds are likely to help finance Solana-based investments further.
Recent research released by Cantor Fitzgerald indicates that Solana could be adopted as an attractive treasury held by corporations because of its staking yield. This has also made institutions take more interest in billionaires in Bitcoin and Ethereum. With such a trend underway, Sol Strategies is taking advantage of this by strengthening its long-term plans for Solana.
Company Momentum is Gathering around Solana Treasuries
The publicly traded firms are increasingly interested in Solana treasuries. Later in October, the Nasdaq-listed Classover Holdings revealed intentions to open up and develop Solana Treasury by raising half a billion dollars. The ed-tech has already guaranteed a convertible note deal to fund its cause.
Also, Hong Kong-listed Meme Strategy announced its first investment in a Solana reserve this week. The firm purchased 2,440 SOL tokens at HKD 2.9 million. The shifts take place against the backdrop of growing anticipation of the possible legalization of a spot Solana ETF, which would further enhance institutional activity.
