- Jane Street disclosed more than $1 billion in spot Bitcoin ETF shares at June 30.
- BlackRock IBIT led the portfolio with roughly $828 million in reported shares.
- The 13F filing shows ETF securities, not direct or necessarily unhedged Bitcoin ownership.
Jane Street disclosed more than $1 billion in U.S. spot Bitcoin ETF shares at the end of the second quarter. The Jane Street Bitcoin ETF holdings were led by an $828 million position in BlackRockās iShares Bitcoin Trust, or IBIT. The filing also listed exposure to Fidelityās FBTC and Grayscaleās GBTC as Bitcoin is up 1.19% to $64,268.03 in 24hours.
Jane Street Bitcoin ETF Holdings Rebound as IBIT Leads
Jane Streetās IBIT position rose sharply from the first quarter. At March 31, the firm reported about 5.9 million IBIT shares worth roughly $225 million. It had held more than 20 million IBIT shares at the end of 2025.
The latest filing shows that IBIT again became the largest disclosed crypto fund position by June 30. Still, the change in value does not show exactly when Jane Street bought shares or the prices it paid.
Jane Street operates as a quantitative trader, market maker and liquidity provider. Its ETF inventory can support arbitrage, hedging or client activity. The Jane Street Bitcoin ETF holdings therefore do not prove a long-term bullish Bitcoin bet.
Jane Street Bitcoin ETF Filing Shows a Quarter End Snapshot
A Form 13F reports eligible securities held at quarter end. It does not provide a complete trading book or show many short positions and derivatives. That limits what investors can infer from the Jane Street Bitcoin ETF exposure.
The filing also covers ETF shares rather than Bitcoin held directly by Jane Street. Spot Bitcoin funds own the underlying coins through custody arrangements, while investors hold securities tied to those funds.
That distinction matters when reading the more than $1 billion figure. The Jane Street Bitcoin ETF portfolio shows reported long fund positions on June 30, not a matching amount of unhedged Bitcoin exposure.
The firmās next 13F will show its reportable positions as of Sept. 30. The SEC lists Nov. 16, 2026, as the deadline for third-quarter filings. Until then, the Jane Street Bitcoin ETF positions reported for June remain a historical snapshot.
