Dataline has raised $10.6 million in seed funding to build a decentralized data network for AI agents. Lattice and Samsung-backed Dispersion Capital co-led the round, with Coinbase Ventures and Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev participating.
The startup also plans a public token sale on Base through Uniswap’s auction system, with details expected next week.
Dataline funding supports data access and verification tools
Co-founder Nuo Shi said the round closed in April using a simple agreement for future equity with a token warrant. The valuation remains undisclosed, and investors received no board seats, observer roles or advisory positions.
Symbolic Capital and Anagram also joined the financing round. The completed seed round is separate from the proposed public sale, whose fundraising target and token quantity remain unannounced.
Dataline connects agents to onchain and offchain information through a single platform. It uses AI to assess reliability, freshness and consistency, helping software evaluate data before acting on it.
For example, a stablecoin trading at $0.97 could reflect a temporary discount or a developing loss of its dollar peg. Shi says the platform adds context about peg stability and price differences across venues to help distinguish those situations.
The service is live with around 50 data sources. Its initial coverage includes Hyperliquid, Polymarket, Kalshi and several blockchain ecosystems, with free access planned for Base and Robinhood Chain developers.
Dataline plans Base token auction and provider staking
Dataline expects to launch its token before the end of 2026 for network payments and access. Users would also be able to lock tokens for continuing access to feeds instead of paying recurring subscriptions.
The planned public sale will use Uniswap’s Continuous Clearing Auction system on Base. Shi said the company was working with Uniswap, but did not disclose pricing or other sale terms.
Providers would stake tokens when submitting data, with rejected submissions undergoing AI review and, if necessary, a network vote. Failed reviews could trigger forfeiture of their stake.
The startup plans to charge a share of data payments but has not begun collecting fees. Funding will support additional sources, stronger verification, robotics and AI training data.
